Thank you to Floafers, Teach My, Mindware and KiwiCo for partnering with me on this post!
Every single year, my boy’s gift guides are by far your favorites! I know y’all use these gift guides to shop for your little one’s birthday gifts, for your nieces’ and nephews’ birthday gifts, and more! This guide will be great to use during your Christmas shopping as well. With Leyton’s birthday in August, I wanted to get this guide out for y’all as early as I could, so you can use it ASAP!
As y’all probably have seen on my Instagram stories, Leyton turned 5! Cue all the mommy feels. Our dino-themed birthday party for the boys was a huge success, and some of these fun gifts were the cherry on top! I hope your littles enjoy these toys, clothes, and activities as much as my boys do!

Best Birthday Gifts For 5 Year Old Boys & Girls:
// Candyland // A classic and our favorite board game to play with Leyton!
// Jeep Ride On Toy // Anything with wheels is always a hit!
// Big Wheel Trike // We got this pedal bike for Leyton to help him transition from a balance bike to a regular bike.
// Patagonia Pullover // With fall and winter right around the corner, I love finding the boys a good, high-quality pullover or jacket they can wear all season long!
// Sea Rescue Helicopter // One of our boys’ favorite toys for under $40. They are always zooming around the house with this helicopter!
// Crane and Truck Set // Do your kids love watching construction workers and trucks too? We often have to pull over on the side of the road to get a good look at some of Leyton’s favorite construction vehicles! I love this set on Amazon for only $40!
// Golf Trainer // Eric hopes at least one of the boys will follow in his footsteps and love golf as much as he does!
// Hanna Andersson Hoodie // Hanna Andersson always has the softest clothes that last forever!! We love splurging on a few items from their store each year and it’s even better when we can stock up during a sale. I love this hoodie because it is reversible and Leyton loves airplanes. It’s always a WIN when he is excited to get ready in the morning!
// See Kai Run // We discovered See Kai Run shoes this year and they have quickly become a favorite! They are some of the BEST play shoes for my boys. Of course I love the velcro closure so Leyton can easily put them on himself!
// Teach My Preschooler Educational Set // This awesome educational tool makes learning at home fun for your littles and stress free for moms. This complete set is an incredible value and includes 70+ pieces and teaching guides to easily teach reading, printing, numbers to 100, adding & subtracting. Develope their math, reading, letter and number skills all with this one kit.
// God Made All Of Me // This book shares a Christian perspective on body image! I also ordered Good Pictures Bad Pictures to help talk with Leyton about protecting our bodies!
// Floafers – These shoes are ideal for littles on the go because they are breathable and odor resistant! Even better? They are waterproof! Yes please. Available in several colors to match any outfit, your kids will love how comfortable these shoes are. Use code SHOP20 to save 20% off.
// June and January Joggers // Both Leyton and Finn have these June and January joggers in multiple colors. They are a comfy staple in their closet and for only $17, you can’t beat the price! These joggers come in 20 color options!
// Stomp Rocket // This fun little toy is currently on Leyton’s wish list! We are thinking it will make a great Christmas gift!
// Tea Collection Tiger Tee // Tigers are one of Leyton’s favorite animals! I thought this soft tee would be a good back-to-school option for the fall and winter months and something Leyton would enjoy wearing too.
// Dig It Up // One of our favorite rainy day activities! Mindware does a great job of creating toys that not only promote fun but also help your little one explore, learn, and imagine. Since Leyton is loving dinosaurs right now, this activity has quickly become a favorite of his.
// Splash Tennis // We purchased this outdoor tennis game earlier this summer and it has been a fun activity for Leyton to play with in the back yard!
// Whack A Frog
// Shark Hot Wheels Track // If your boys or girls are all about racing cars around the house, this will undoubtedly be a hit!
// Batman Remote Car // We got this fun car from Costco last Christmas and the boys are still playing with it!
// Tea Collection Airplane Pajamas // Tea Collection has some of the softest pajamas! The quality is AMAZING! I have had my boys wearing Tea Collection’s ever so soft clothes since they were tiny babies.
// Puzzle Globe // Love this little “toy” because it promotes learning! It’s also a great way to spur conversation with your littles about other countries. This could even be a great interactive way to pray with your kids for other parts of the world too!
// Bath Bombs // We aim to do one sensory “tivity” aka activity every few weeks. We tested out this bath bomb science lab and it was such a fun learning experiment for Leyton! It also made bath time extra fun, which was a plus!
// Tea Collection Button-Up // A great nicer shirt for church or family photos for your boys!
// Train // This train is a Christmas classic that you could easily set up around your tree on Christmas morning!
// Kiwi Crate // Kiwi Crate delivers creative learning with at-home science projects. We have been BIG fans of Kiwi Co for at least a few years now. They are such helpful activities to pull out on a rainy day, super hot day, or a day when mama just doesn’t have the energy to pull something together. If you sign up for the Kiwi Crate, you will get science projects that support learning for kids ages 5-8. They have other crates geared toward other ages too! This is a perfect way to help encourage your child’s confidence by allowing them to be creative! Click HERE and use code MYLIFEWELLLOVED to get 30% off your 1st month of any subscription.
// Crayola Light Board // Such a fun and mess-free activity! With more virtual learning this year, I know we are all looking for more screen-free activities that aren’t too involved for mom and dad.
// Ba Ba Ba Bubbles Game // Leyton loves this game! It’s a cute one!
// HammerHead Shark // Leyton’s VERY specific request of a souvenir from Bora Bora!
