Have you seen this rendition of Little Drummer Boy by the Pentatonix yet? I first heard about them when they were on The Sing Off years ago. It blows me away that they are making all those musical sounds with just their mouths! Too wild. Â If you get a chance, go check out some of their other videos on Youtube. One of my favorites is their Evolution of Music.
If you keep up with me on Instagram, you’re probably not surprised I haven’t posted very much this week. If you don’t follow me on IG, then the update is that the hubs and I had a pretty rough day this week. My car was in the shop, our hot water heater started leaking and soaked our carpet, then the repairman said our hot water heater and electrical box in the utility closet were both not up to code. It was a hot mess day of phone calls with insurance, repair men, and an adjustor. But THEN the hot water heater burst a hole and water started gushing into our condo. The hubs had to shut off our water to the building and next thing we knew there was a crew of men here ripping up our carpet and kitchen floor and installing massive fans to help dry everything out. Believe it or not, this is the abridged version of all the things that went wrong in this little home owner’s mess.
During the middle of all this, I had an annual dr.’s exam at which point the nurse told me my top number on my blood pressure was 182…so to say I was stressed may be an understatement, ha! But, on the bright side…we’re getting new floors! And the car was a quick fix that didn’t cost an arm and a leg. Honestly, the hubs and I feel so blessed that the hot water heater didn’t burst while we were in New Zealand or Indiana though that we can’t even complain. Can you imagine if we’d come home from being gone for days while water gushed in our condo? That would have been a real nightmare. So, to say we’re thankful is an understatement.
So, here’s to a little Christmas cheer with this music video. It’s been a small bright spot in my week that I’ve just enjoyed!
Have any of you had floor renovations lately? We’re thinking about getting floors that look like hardwoods. We hope to move out of the condo in about a year so we want to update but keep it reasonable. Please leave some advice if you have some in the comments & thanks for all your love and comments!
Your week sounds just like a week I had last month! I was just finishing up a bath when I heard a dripping noise coming from the kitchen. To make a long story short, I need a new bathtub and kitchen ceiling. Good ‘ol home-ownership eh? 😉
