Men are the hardest people on earth to shop for in my book. Whether it be my dad, grandfathers, or my husband, they never seem to have a running list of things they want the way most women I know do. The moment I get asked what I want for my birthday or Christmas, I point to my Pinterest Wish List board which is brimming with ideas big and small to make the gift giver’s job easy peasy. In order to try to help you narrow down what to gift the man in your life, I’ve forcibly gotten some intel from the men in my life to help us all out. See below for the details of the ultimate gift guide for men.
Southern Inspired: If you are from the South, there’s not much better than owning your southern charm. That’s where these quality products come into play! I’m loving Yellowhammer Supply Co.’s trendy mural of Alabama tee and the classic vest with the cute little yellowhammer symbol. Whether you’re from Birmingham, or the South, I bet your man would love this new line! It embodies everything that makes us Alabama proud.
Blanton’s: This nice bourbon is a gift my husband wouldn’t typically buy for himself, which makes it a really nice gift. Whether it be a fine bourbon, or an outlandish watch, spoil the man in your life with something you know he could never justify in his mind.
Wireless speakers: “Sonos is far and away the best I’ve ever heard. The speakers aren’t cheap, but come in a variety of sizes and prices — from a soundbar for the living room TV to small speakers for the bathroom and everything in between. It’s all controlled by an iPhone app that syncs perfectly with Spotify, iTunes cloud, Pandora or whatever other music service people have on their mobile device. You can even listen to different things in different rooms simultaneously. I love it. It was a total game changer at our house. I’ve heard people talk about having a “soundtrack to (their) lives” … Sonos makes that possible at home.” WOW! Talk about a raving recommendation from Cliff of YHN when I asked him what he would put on the men’s gift guide.
Personalized Beer Mugs: I haven’t met many men who don’t think this is a cool gift idea. There’s something about the hubs pulling out chilled beer glasses from our freezer that makes guests feel special. Find out your friend, dad, or husband’s favorite beer and get them that glass like the infamous Stella glass that my hubs is partial to.
Cologne: No matter what you get, if your guy knows you think the scent is sexy, chances are he will be a fan. Make a detour to the cologne department while you’re out shopping and nonchalantly ask your guy to smell different ones to see what he thinks if you need a direction to start in.
Tickets: It’s all about the experience with this one! Is your dad a die-hard rock fan? Is your brother really into the arts? Get a ticket to an upcoming show for the two of you to go to together. It will mean the world that you want to participate in something with the person and will be a treat for both of you!
Charlie Bham Pocket Squares: Birmingham local designer Chad Ellis created a taste of Italian style right here in the South. The focus of Charlie is to provide people with a variety of styles and options to help create their own personal portfolio of menswear accessories for their closet. The brand uses top of line fabrics imported from Italy that provide the best look and feel of what is found in the market today.
Thanks for the great ideas! 🙂
