The Summit is quite the destination to shop in style in Birmingham. It’s been a landmark since I was a little girl, but we rarely got out that way. Back in the day, the Galleria and Brookwood Mall were pretty much our exclusive destinations for shopping. Now, the Summit boasts so many fabulous shopping and eating spots, it’s hard to fit it all in in one day!
I was excited to be invited as a B Metro blogger to cover the Jr. League of Birmingham’s Shop, Save & Share kickoff event at The Summit about a week ago with my friends Buffy of The Style Gathering & Lauren of Lola Charles. If you have the Shop, Save & Share card, make sure to hustle out to the 500+ stores that are offering 20% off with the discount code today! The card’s savings pass expires Sunday, November 2nd. Funds raised by the Jr. League help to support women and children in the Birmingham area.
I got to explore some of the newest shops at The Summit and here’s the scoop I got for you:
J. McLaughlin: Check out the famed Catalina cloth and watch the video to learn more about this store for men & women.
Calypso St. Barth: You may remember this emerald beauty I wore from Calpso St. Barth. Think upscale resort clothing with soft cashmeres and trendy booties along with fabulous embellished looks. You can find some great markdowns on their sale racks if you hit it at the right time!
Kate Spade: Crisp color, graphic prints, and pops of whimsy are the hallmarks of this girly favorite.
Lilly Pulitzer: So many pretty patterns, bags, scarves, and planners, I didn’t even know where to start. The hot pink they have in store right now is dazzling!
Kendra Scott: This Dallas-bred jewelry store has me lusting after this unique ring. I must have tried it on 3 different times in the store.
Tumi: I fell in love with the packing cube. If you are looking for a gift for a frequent traveler in your life, the cube scrunches 3 garments into a space that should only fit 1.
The Art of Shaving: Who knew shaving could have so many glamorous tools and tricks of the trade? The friendly people in this store are sure to help you find something for that hard to please person on your list (men or women!).
What’s your favorite place to shop at The Summit if you live in Birmingham? If not, which of these stores is your favorite, and why?
