When envisioning our nursery, I knew I wanted it to be a space that felt light, airy, and peaceful. This is the first sneak peek I’m giving into Leyton’s little room. I’ve updated this post to say that I’ve shared Leyton’s full Nautical Nursery HERE!
In order to feel peaceful, I knew it needed to be cozy. And the number one item that makes me feel comfy in the nursery? My amazing nursery glider from Storkland Baby. I’m simply in love with this chair. It’s pretty, it’s got a stain guard with a lifetime warranty because let’s be honest, babies are messy and I know I’ll get to use it afterwards in our home because it’s a great neutral!
When I do middle of the night feedings or early morning feedings, I love that the nursery glider can recline all the way back so I can catnap while feeding. Eric and I went back and forth about whether to spend this much money on a glider but we decided that since it’s such high quality and solid wood, it will last us a lot longer. Plus this is a piece we are in A LOT so it needs to be incredibly supportive, big enough for when Leyton is a toddler and Eric is reading with him and it was important to us to have a recliner.
We were also so happy to support a local business that we can trust, has quality products and really forms a personal relationship with their customers. Stan, the owner, has even checked on me since my delivery! I know I’ll get to go back to visit them soon because they’re next to one of my favorite Birmingham restaurants, El Barrio. In fact, my first time in Storkland was while we were waiting for a seat. I’d highly recommend checking out Storkland if you’re in Birmingham next time you’re waiting for some of the best Mexican you’ve ever had. Apparently, people without kids have even started buying their nursery glider because they are so comfortable and cheaper than some regular chairs you’d buy for your living room.
If you’re interested in checking out Storkland’s baby furniture, please let them know I sent you! You can call them to find out more at 205-324-9509.

Awww, thanks, Rhonda! Yes, I most definitely hope to use that glider for MANY years to come. 🙂
Your comments are always so thoughtful and I appreciate your kind words. Have a wonderful week!
That baby! Looking fabulous too mama. I think I’ll be putting that chair on my Christmas list, it looks dreamy! I love how wide it is too, I need lots of room when I nurse and often have another little one on my lap reading a book at the same time. Super pretty too!

Thank you, Melissa! Yes, I most definitely thought that was a great piece of advice another momma gave me–to look for a wide chair that could fit daddy and toddler for future years of reading. But I bet you are right…before we know it we’ll have another one wanting to climb in that same chair. 😉
Your chair is so beautiful and comfortable and I’m glad that you all have it for this special time and for years to come. It seems to have every feature that you could want or need 🙂 The photos are beautiful and so are you! Dani did a beautiful job on your makeup, too. Little Leyton melts my heart every time I see him! xoxoxoxo

Thanks momma! I wish I could have Dani do my makeup every day! 😉
Hi there! This is such a beautiful glider! I have been on the hunt for a reclining glider that has some neat features like the wingback. This is PERFECT! Quick question for you, do you remember what color this was? Is it the “range ivory?”

Hi Erin! Thank you so much! I will email Stan, the owner at Storkland and see if he has it in his sale notes. I will get back with you if he does. I hope you guys love yours as much as we love ours.
Hi! I love that rocker and your nursery is beautiful. Unfortunately I live in Va so can’t go to the store in Alabama. Do you know who makes the rocker so I can look for it elsewhere.

Hi Deidra! It is Little Castle Home Series 🙂 Hope that helps! And congrats!
Awesome find! Do you happen to know the style name? I’ve been looking everywhere for this Little Castle chair to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated!
