Light Sausage Balls

Sausage Balls appetizer

I made these light sausage balls for our supper club a few months back. They were a big hit and I am thrilled to tell you that they are only 4 ingredients and they take very minimal time to make…score! These will definitely be a repeat for other gatherings and I’m excited to have this tried and true recipe that is filling and serves as a hearty appetizer or fun breakfast. I used all light ingredients to help out with the calorie and fat count so feel free to follow suit, or to make them even more rich & filling with the full fat stuff.

These would be the perfect appetizer for holiday parties! These can be made and baked within 25 minutes. Now if that’s not an easy, lightened up app, I don’t know what is! I can’t remember where I got this recipe from, so if you know, please alert me so I can give proper credit.

4 Ingredient Sausage Balls

Ingredients:

12 oz light cheese
1 1/2 c all-purpose baking mix
1/4 c fat-free milk
1 lb pork sausage roll

Directions:

Put oven rack near top rung and preheat oven to 400.

In a large bowl, stir together cheese and baking mix until well blended.

Stir in milk. Add in sausage and thoroughly combine it all with hands.

Form mixture into 1 inch or so balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake for 10-12 mins or until browned and serve warm.

What is your favorite light appetizer? I’d love for you to share with me in the comments below!
