As I declared in my Best Posts of 2016 post, my word for the year of 2017 is: Simplify. The less I have to think about, schedule in and figure out, the better. I want to start saying no more unless it’s a HECK YES! Keeping this new mantra in mind, I wanted to share a little bit about my Christmas party simplification process that you may be able to use for New Year’s.
Instead of worrying about doing my own acrylic nails, hair and makeup and stressing about the baby destroying the bathroom while I got ready, I booked appointments and had it all done for me. Now, granted, that’s not realistic for every event I ever have but when I need an occasional splurge, this is a nice one! It was so fun to be pampered and to get all dolled up without the effort to enjoy a night out on the town with my husband and friends.

What are you all doing for your New Year’s Eve? And, what is your New Year’s Eve outfit consist of? We are going to get together with some friends who also have kids so we can put the babies to bed in pack and plays and all hang out. I plan to bring some guacamole and some puppy chow to enjoy before I start Whole 30 on Monday! If you want to join me in doing the Whole 30, make sure you sign up for my accountability Facebook group HERE.
