Style the Bump: Casual Weekend

I’m kicking off a new series that is ever so timely called Style the Bump! Obviously, my fashion sense taking a turn for all things maternal, I’m hoping to not totally lose all sense of fashion and start dressing in paper sacks to hide myself. 😉

I usually rock a pretty laid back style. I like to think of my style as girl-next-door casual cute. But, let me assure you comfort has never been more important than while I’m pregnant. And as the sweltering Alabama heat and humidity continues to climb, I have a feeling my need for comfort will as well.

As spring marches on, I’m finding this outfit is my weekend home base. It’s cool and light while keeping the bump hidden, for the time being at least! This sleeveless white lace tunic gets compliments each time I wear it and has quickly become a favorite from Pink Blush Maternity.

My ripped denim jeans are also from Pink Blush Maternity. Don’t be fooled by their “cool factor,” there’s totally a stretchy tall waistband hidden underneath my tunic. These jeans are so cute though, I’d be tempted to wear them while pregnant or not.

The necklace has become my summer go-to because it is bright, cheery and goes with almost everything! I love the neutral white beads and the bright pop of the tassel. I’ve found tassel necklaces in local boutiques for $50 and up but this one is only around $20 PLUS I’ve got a special discount for you guys with the code MYLIFEWELLLOVED. Use this code on Laura Cox Designs on Etsy to get 15% off!

Finally, these shoes from Naturalizer are comfortable, cute and cozy. And for my short gals, they’ve got a 1″ “heel” to give you a little lift! I’m wearing them on a weekly basis and I love that they have the breathable tops and good supportive soles.

If you need some more maternity inspiration, make sure you check out my good friend Molly from Stilettos and Diapers!

I love the shoes! So cute! I always have to dress up for work so when I dress casual, I never have anything cute or fun like this to wear. I definitely need to find some cute things like this to make my casual days look more fun and stylish.

You look beautiful, and comfortable 🙂 I can see why you have gotten so many compliments on your tunic – it is so feminine, and it really hides Leyton! I may have to check out those shoes 😉
